It’s easy to become very excited & passionate about the sharing economy. I for one am fascinated how brands like Airbnb & Uber have been able to completely revolutionise the way consumers behave in their respective markets. What I love most about disruptive businesses (the successful ones, at least) is that they invariably make things easier & more useful, more enjoyable – for the customer.
That’s why I’m pumped to be a part of Camplify, Australia’s largest caravan hire and RV sharing community. Camplify is a relatively new service that connects holidaymakers with RV owners, in a unique peer-to-peer sharing environment. Kind of like an “airbnb for caravans”. In other words, Camplify provides holidaymakers with a new way to hire a caravan, campervan, motorhome or camper trailer from private owners across Australia.
On the supply side, RV owners can list their caravan on Camplify to earn extra income – instead of having it sitting in the front yard for 90% of the year gathering dust. Caravan and camper owners can learn more about listing and even get a hire pricing estimate here.
We already have some RV owners earning in excess of $5000 per month hiring out their freedom machines on our platform. Pretty good dough!
Our CEO Justin Hales founded Camplify in December, 2014 as a part of the NRMA Slingshot Jumpstart Accelerator Program. By the end of 2016, we have grown to be the leading destination for caravan and camper hire in Australia. Now with over 1500 RVs listed across Australia and tens of thousands of hiring members, the future looks bright for Camplify.
As CMO at Camplify, I’d love you to go check out the Camplify website, sign up & let me know what you think! We’re always looking to improve the experience for our members – both hirers and RV owners.
